Bangladesh batter Towhid Hridoy might miss the second T20I against Afghanistan in the ongoing three-match series due to fever. The illness already kept him out of the series opener in Sharjah. A team official confirmed to Cricbuzz that they will take a call on Hridoy after reaching the ground.
Towhid Hridoy might miss 2nd T20I vs Afghanistan

"Not sure about the game (Hridoy's availability in second T20I against Afghanistan). He is having antibiotics and still unwell but better than what he was two days back or yesterday," the official told this website on Friday.
"So we will make a call (on Hridoy) after reaching the ground. He is being observed by our physio consulting with Debashish (BCB's medical head)," he said.
Bangladesh's physician Debashish Chowdhury echoed the same sentiment. "I have spoken with them and learnt that he (Hridoy) is better than before but at the same time you have to understand that even if your fever is gone, you can be weak and if that is the case he might not make it for the 2nd game," Debashish told Cricbuzz.
The second T20I is scheduled at Sharjah on September 3.
